WW1 US Soldier's Sterling Locket - The locket measures a little over 1
1/2" and roughly 5" when it is opened. The chain looks to have been
replaced at one time. The locket is marked "F & B Sterling" (Theodore
W. Foster and Bros. Providence, RI) The inscription on the back of the
locket reads "Sgt. Clarence S. Newcomer Co. 1. 316 Inf. U.S.A." If my
research is correct the soldier's son was a federal district court
judge for over 33 years.
